On behalf of the Southern California Land Rover Club your 2021 BOD would like to invite you to our 21st Rover Rendezvous, August 27-29, 2021 in Big Bear area, California. Specific location is the Hanna Flat Campground in Fawnskin. Camping is reserved separately, this site is to only register for the event.
Our first Rover Rendezvous was in 2000. It has grown from a small group of club members going on a camping trip into a yearly ritual. We spend the evenings catching up with friends, telling stories of past trips and wrenching adventures. The days are spent out on the trail, making new friends and writing new stories.
Friday night is a potluck dinner and night trail run. Saturday we have trail runs for all ability levels. Saturday evening is the sponsor night where sponsors can set up shop and showcase their products and services to the club members. After a delicious BBQ dinner, the raffle tickets start flying!
Friday
4:00-7:00 Camp Set Up and Check In
6:00 Club provided hot dogs. Bring side dishes if you wish to share. Casual for those already at camp.
Saturday
8:00-8:45 Check in
8:00-8:30 Trail Runs Lineups (must be in line by 8:30)
8:30-9:00 Trail Leaders meet with their groups, coordinate comms, etc.
9:00-10:45 Trail Runs Depart (staggered based on number of trails, trail length, difficulty, etc.)
3:00-4:00 Trail Runs Return
5:00-6:00 Dinner Time. Club hosted BBQ dinner. Potluck side dishes...bring your side dishes to donate if you have extra from Friday!

Meals
Attendees are responsible for providing their own food and water. Friday Dinner is a potluck dinner. The club will provide hot dogs, attendees will provide side dishes. Saturday's dinner is included in the registration and provided by the club. Each registration includes dinner for the driver and three passengers.
Alternative Accommodations
Participants are free to stay at one of the many area motels, hotels and cabins for rent. Although it is a few miles drive to the nearest, meals can be obtained at local eateries.
FIRE RESTRICTIONS
08/24:
This is an update related to your Recreation.gov reservation at HANNA FLAT. The dates affected are 8/25/2021 - 10/31/2021.
There are currently fire restrictions at our facility that prohibit all fires, including those in fire rings, as well as charcoal usage and smoking (except in an enclosed vehicle). Gas stoves, grills and lanterns with a shut-off valve are permitted only if they’re used at least three feet away from flammable materials such as grass or pine needles. These fire restrictions are in place due to high fire danger in the area. You can find more information about these restrictions on our agency website. We expect fire restrictions to be in effect during your visit and wanted to provide you with the information needed to plan accordingly for your trip. For a full refund, cancellations must be received by email before 5:00 pm on July 27, 2021. Cancellations received after the deadline, but prior to Event Date will only be refunded for extra raffle tickets purchased and 50% of registration cost. Fees paid for extra meals or shirts will not be refunded. There will be no refunds after the start of the event. Refunds will be paid by check following the event.
